“Use of Virtual Reality in Physiotherapy Assessment and Rehabilitation”

Within the framework of the workshop, a virtual reality platform for kinematic assessment and therapeutic exercise will be presented at a theoretical and practical level. An innovative and integrated system based on a depth-sensing camera for recording and analyzing movement in real time, without the use of markers or wearable sensors, as well as virtual reality technology for providing goal-directed exercises will be presented. The platform will present an extensive library of exercises, organized by body area and level of difficulty. It will also present the methodology for adapting the treatment to the needs of each patient, as well as a patient management system. It will also present integrated gamification elements and practices that can enhance patient motivation and compliance with the therapeutic process. In addition, guidelines will be provided for the use of the equipment as a tele-rehabilitation tool, and the possibilities for remote monitoring, guidance and evaluation of patients will be presented.
